Is Patrick Swayze Dying of Pancreatic Cancer?

The National Enquirer is reporting that the actor Patrick Swayze is dying of pancreatic caner. The report says that the cancer has spread throughout his body and he only has 5 weeks left to live. Patrick Swayze is best known for his role in Dirty Dancing but he also appeared in the films Ghost, Roadhouse, Red Dawn and the Outsiders.

Patrick Swayze story: half right

Details have come out now; his publicist and doctor have confirmed that he does indeed have pancreatic cancer. BUT... they are throwing cold water on this "five weeks to live" idea. His doctor is quoted as saying "Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment." For his sake, I hope so... pancreatic cancer is a brutal disease and usually has a low survival rate.

Even Faux News can only confirm the Nat'l Enquirer story

I did a quick Google of the story and the top hit was a link to Faux News--even they could only confirm that the National Enquirer printed the story because there has been no confirmation from either Swayze or his representatives. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,335210,00.html ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING

I wouldn't take anything they say seriously, unless it's confirmed by a reputable news source. From what I've seen, only the gossip Web sites have been reporting this.
