Tonight the final 5 American Idol contestants performed Neil Diamond songs. Each contestant had to perform two Diamond songs. Jason Castro performed "Forever In Blue Jeans" and "September Morn". David Cook performed "I'm Alive" and "All I Really Need Is You". Brooke White performed "I'm A Believer" and "I Am I Said". David Archuleta performed "Sweet Caroline" and "America". Syesha Mercado performed "Hello Again" and "Thank The Lord For The Nighttime".

The judges seemed to prefer David Cook to all the singers. My belief is that they want him to win, which means he probably will. Jason Castro and Brooke White stink and shouldn't have gotten this far. Who's voting for those two anyway? Syesha Mercado is so underrated in my opinion but, for some reason, people don't vote for her. And David Archuleta to me is the best pure singer but do voters think he's too cute?

And one final note...is Paula Abdul on drugs or what? I could use whatever she's taking.
