Russia Attacking Georgia to Gain Influence in the Middle East
posted August 11, 2008 - 9:13pmWith Russia moving into Georgia is Russia making a power play to get closer to the borders of Iran? The United States has two wars going on and they are on each side of Iran, Afghanistan on Iran’s eastern boarder and Iraq on its western border. Why all the posturing in the Middle East? Is Russia looking at the conflicts we are involed in and surnmising that they want to be closer to the action by taking Georgia? If Russia gains control of Georgia it is less than one hundred miles from Iran. Iran and Russia have ties with each other. If Russia gains control of Georgia then they gain influence in our decisions to attack Iran or not. Will Russia make a deal to protect or influence our decisions about what is going on in Iran? Will Russia be Iran’s ace in the hole? Iran buying nuclear technology from Russia and Russia getting influence in Iran and the Middle East. Once they fully take control of Georgia they will have tha closeness to make major influences in the Middle East. All Russia has to do in gain control over or gain influence over Armenia which shouldn’t be to hard for them, and then Russia has a direct trade route to Iran. Russia will have major influence into the coming power vacuum, if and when we leave Iraq. Russia knows we are too spread out to do anything thing about Georgia. So, it is in Russia’s every interest to continue attacking Georgia. They will say whatever they need to till they get control of Georgia. Once they got Georgia they are no longer restricted in their airspace by one of our democratic allies. Therefore, Russia has gained some of it’s economic strength back and is making a power play to influence the Middle East countries. They will back the hatred of the Middle East towards us, so they can have a say in the issues that are going on in the Middle East. The world will respond to Vladamir Putin's statements about George Bush being hypocritical about one soveriegn nation attacking another, since we have two wars going on right now. Bush should be advise to come up with another stance, and God help us all if it is an unthought out military one. Bush and his cabnit might want to take a stepback and look at the long term effects to and drastic moves or political hardballing of the Russians. Bush better be careful of he will send us right back into another Cold War which will inflame and encourage the aggressions of countries in the Middle East. Don't react; respond with wisdom and tact. Step back look at the big picture, then find a wise course of action. I don't know about you, but I hate negotiations when I am forced to certain corse of actions against my will. For me, bullies don't have too much influence or good will on my part. Yet, Bush needs to keep his head and look at the big picture. God grant him wisdom.
