Is There Life Out There?

Is There Life Out There?

The situation is mushrooming and mutating. Children, youth, and adults are crying out for meaning and purpose in their lives. they are finding that it is not found in job perks and promotions, success, leisure, possessions, poverty or wealth, fun, frolic, extreme behavior, virtual reality, drugs or alcohol, promiscuity, doing good or ill....

This generation of parents is blaming their parents, among others, for the emptiness in their lives today, and they are not inclined to pass this void on to their children.

Amid the squalor of society's mindless indulgences, punctuated by abuse and neglect, a growing number of parents are seeking a better life for their children. Naturally, they do not want their children to be financially destitute in their adult life, but material abundance is running a distant second to the desire for the much richer blessings of meaning and purpose.

Even though it seems like the majority of humanity is lost in its futility, a growing number of parents have come to find the answer inthe Gospel of Jesus Christ. More than anything, they want their children to come to know, love, follow, and serve Jesus Christ.

Without Him, they realize, there is no life with meaning and purpose at all. Belatedly, with the wisdom of Solomon, they are exclaiming, "Meaningless, meaningless! All is meaningless without the Lord of life in my life."

The challenge? Amid a society that has turned its back on the true and Triune God, Father Son, and Holy Spirit, how do we reach parents and children with the Good News of the Bible? Therein they will daily learn and grow into the fullness of the life our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, has prepared for them to live...a life rich in meaning and fulfilling purpose.

Amen Brother

We live in an ever increasing chaotic world, the more technology we have the closer to the dark ages this society becomes. We do need a Savior and He does live. We have to reach out and accept his free gift of Salvation. He paid the ultimate price, willingly so all of humanity that choses eternal life and is willing to walk the walk of genuine faith and commitment will have it. God does give us a choice, Life or death. We are free to choose. My family and I have chosen life. We are teaching it to our grandchildren. Yes there is life out there and it is abundant and full of hope, promise and many mansions enough for all. God's Kingdom has no end.
