Is This Urban Legend Really True? You Tell Me
Is This Urban Legend Really True? You Tell Me
Jamie and Jessica were the best of friends and everyone on campus knew it. They went everywhere together, and even shared boyfriends on occasion.
Not only were they best friends, they were the most popular twosome on campus. Every male (and a fair share of females) wanted to be close to them and date them.
The big difference between them, was that Jessica knew how good looking she was, and was not shy about flaunting it. Jamie, however, was a very laid back and shy type... not one to push the envelope.
On this particular Saturday night, they decided to go to the bar on the outskirts of campus to kick back and have a few drinks and dance.
The night was fairly uneventful except that this one guy continuously bugged them, and insisted that they dance with him. After several refusals, and near arguments, they decided to leave.
Walking out the door into the cool night air, they noticed that he left as well. He roared by them in his beat up mustang, and flipped them the bird on the way by.
About half way to their dorm, Jamie decided to stop by another of their friend's dorm and told Jessica that she would be home soon. Jessica went on without her.
About an hour later, at about one in the morning, Jamie arrived home to the dorm.
As she opened the door, she noticed that the lights were out already, and whispered to her friend, "Jessica, can I turn on the lights?"
After receiving no answer, she decided not to wake her friend and go to bed on her top bunk.
Jamie woke the next morning and climbed down from her bunk. When she went to wake up Jessica, she was sliced to bits, and blood was everywhere.
Jamie screamed and turned to run out the door. When she turned she saw written in bright red lipstick on her dressing mirror......................"Aren't you glad you didn't turn on the lights?"

I will do some more research, but the story of Jamie and Jessica sounds urban legendish.
Edit: Here is another source I found totally confirming my suspicion that the story is an urban legend.
