J Cat brings it home in the Battle of the Badges

After only one and half months of boxer training, Julie “J-Cat” Williams hit the ring with so much style she came out with not only a winning match but also a Best Fighter Award that was presented at the 2009 Battle of the Badges event held on October 10, 2009. Two years as an officer at California State Prison-San Quentin hasn’t made her any tougher because she was tough on all her opponents before she stepped into law enforcement. Her previous history in competitive sports includes soccer, basketball, women’s pro baseball with the Colorado Silver Bullets who played against both women and men’s teams, and a year in the women’s football circuit with the LA Lasers. Sports has been a significant part of her life as long as she can remember.
