Action star Jackie Chan's comments to a mainland Chinese business group have drawn a firestorm of criticism from the Chinese people. He said that freedom and democracy were likely not good things for most Chinese people and that most needed to be controlled. Needless to say many leaders and politicians in his native Hong Kong strongly disagree with Chan's assessment.
