Lewis Hamilton looked to put the disappointment of finishing outside the points in a Japanese Grand Prix by focusing on this weekend's Chinese GP in Shanghai.
The McLaren-Mercedes driver started from pole position at the Fuji International Speedway but came home down in 12th place after incurring a drive-through penalty for forcing the Ferraris of nearest championship rival Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen wide on the first turn.
