Jasmine Thompson Memorial and Scholarship, Dick Vitale Sponsors

A memorial and scholarship for Jasmine Thompson has been planned with help from local resident and ESPN broadcaster Dick Vitale. Jasmine, a 17-year-old high school student and cheerleader at Bayshore High School in Bradenton, Florida, was shot and killed on September 4, 2009. Thompson was murdered by 18-year-old Daniel Williams following a football game at the school.
