My wife and kids hunt with me. I wonder what my deer costs per pound. Let's see.... there's gas, "last year was more than four dollars a gallon," and there's food, and we eat as good, or better, out hunting than we do at home.

There's also the fun, the laughs, the memories, family time, and don't forget the meat. "The most expensive meat in the world". Of course there's also elk season!
