During the ten year period of the hit sitcom 'Friends', the six co-stars, Anniston, Cox, Kudrow, LeBlanc, Perry and Schwimmer bonded to become 'Friends' in real life, for life. But when Anniston and Schwimmer's characters become the 'will-they-or-won't-they' couple of the show, talk of the actors being more than 'Friends' started to hit tabloids. Apparently, Anniston (Rachel) told Schwimmer (Ross) that she liked him as more than a friends, but an off-screen romance could jeopardise the show and its success. Schwimmer agreed, and the two of them remained just friends throughout then tne years of the show and today, four years after the sitcom screened its final episode. Anniston and Cox remain the closest friends, Anniston doing a guest star role on Cox's new comedy 'Dirt'.
