Jerry Seinfeld Returns to TV with New Show The Marriage Ref

Jerry Seinfeld will be returning to tv with a new show he is creating and producing. It is a reality show about the difficulties of marriage.

Contestants on the show, called The Marriage Ref, will take advice from celebrities about how to get through their marital woes. Seinfeld's show will be on the NBC network--or course, do you think they would let a new Seinfeld show slip through their fingers. He's been like gold to them.

But still, this seems like a strange development--Jerry Seinfeld running a reality show? About marriage? Seems a little odd and more of a way to make a quick buck than a real return to tv. Let's be honest, if Seinfeld starred in a new sitcom, it would be a disappointment. There's no way it could live up to Seinfeld, his original NBC show, which will go down as one of the greatest sitcoms of all time--even though it was a "show about nothing."

So it seems Seinfeld is taking the Ashton Kutcher route. In case you didn't know, Kutch is responsible for Beauty and the Geek among other reality tv shows. We'll see how this turns out.

I don't know if he's going

I don't know if he's going to appear on the show, but I have a feeling he might be the face of it and will be on commercials and promos.

Thanks...

...for the byte. Glad to see jerry Seinfeld return to tv even for a reality show. Hope he will appear on the show as well as produce it.
