Jo Ann Davis, Lawmaker From Virginia, Dies at 57

Representative Jo Ann Davis, Republican of Virginia, died on Saturday after a two-year battle with breast cancer, her office said. She was 57.

Ms. Davis represented southeastern Virginia in the House. Her cancer was diagnosed in 2005 and recurred this year. Her health took a turn for the worse in the past week, her office said.
