John McCain's Attorney is Working to Block Sarah Palin Ethics Probe. The Whole Issue Sounds Like a Jerry Springer Episode.
posted September 17, 2008 - 3:53amEdward O'Callaghan who, until recently, was a top prosecutor in the U.S. attorney's office terrorism and national security unit, is now working for McCain. His first assignment? Quash 'Troopergate!"
O'Callaghan is working to halt the investigation into Governor Sarah Palin's firing of Walt Monegan, Alaska's top cop.
Whereas earlier on in the investigation, Sarah Palin agreed to "fully cooperate," O'Callaghan announced to the press that the Alaskan Governor is "unlikely to cooperate" because the inquiry had been "tainted by politics."
I guess the McCain camp is trying to do some serious damage control, but I'm not sure if this was the way to go. If she had nothing to hide, why stonewall now? The facts haven't changed now that she is the VP candidate.
Now, Palin's ex brother-in-law State Trooper sounds like he probably IS a bag of trash in a uniform, but the whole issue sounds like a trailer park soap opera and Sarah Palin is right in the middle of it. That's not really the type of person I want running the country. Straight out of the Jerry Springer show and into the White House.
