I get why some companies use telemarketers from an economic standpoint and could deal with the calls because I could talk with an actual human being and tell them to put me on a do not call anymore list. With the automated calls, you either have to stay on the line and be annoyed while the blast you with the message in hopes of talking to someone live at the end or you can hang up and they're onto the next call at the click of a computer circuit. This is the equivalent of the law that says that companies may not send e-mail to you without giving you the option to unsubscribe within the body of the e-mail, yet the spammers don't bother to include it (usually) or they use your sending them an e-mail to unsubscribe as permission to add you to yet another spam marketing list.
