Judge Not: Love instead! Who are we really?

Judge Not: Love instead! Who are we really?

I am stepping out on a limb and writing this though it may illicit controversy from some. Some who do not believe in God or an all knowing all powerful creator of creation. Religion is just that! Something invented by man and all spout and profess to be the only true one. Be it Christianity, Catholicism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Atheism or some other religious order.

The whole thing being is MAN in each instance has created God or the lack of any god in to their own image, idea. Some choose to toss out the concept that there could be a creator of any sort, we all came from some big bang that formed the cosmos and all that is in the universe and the world. We climbed from a cesspool of algae type sea and formed legs then became hairy illiterate beastly creatures some where back in the lost eons of time. Then some how we evolved into what we are today with some semblance of intelligence or not.

That being said no matter what you believe or think be it Big Bang, Or Slimy creatures from the Algae Cesspool Sea, Or Hairy ape like creature who learned to walk upright and don clothing and hoorah on weekends at ball games or pack a brief case of papers to the office on week days. Or that mankind was made from the dust of the earth and given life by a life giver and God, There at some point was some law that caused the beginning what ever it was. Which brings us to some sort of intelligence and a law maker.

Humanity does not like the concept or idea that some being unknown to them has any say into how they live their lives while upon the earth. From the onset of conception to the day we are laid into the ground we begin to form thought, ideas and choose a way of life. Circumstances, environment and people whom we interact with throughout our early lives help to shape and mold us. From those days we decide if there is a higher being of supernatural powers that has any right to tell us what to do.

Many decide after abuse or hurt or a hard life that there just is no way there is any higher intelligent being because if there were he/she would not allow all the misery and sorrow in the world. Other's go through the same type of hardship and trials and reach out to an all knowing God who sustains them.

Some reach an age of rebellion. Ah yes we humans are extremely good at being rebellious and not conforming to society or anything that is going to force us to behave in a certain way. We hate authority and law. But nevertheless we abide by some semblance of it; if for no other reason than to preserve our own skin.

For instance most people give into societies demands to wear clothing coupled with the fact that elements of seasons and climate put this necessity upon us as well. Some choose Christianity and repenting from sin, others choose agnosticism. Some of the fence sitters, don't totally dis-believe in a greater power but not believing totally they in their mind excuse themselves from obedience to a higher power's authority or dictations. To live what ever life they want.

Atheists do not have to answer to any power other than self so if it feels good, do it. Although a good many have a conscience and have some type of moral standards if for no other reason than for self preservation and as such have some semblance of respect for others to the same right. They still have values and standards. Some better than so called Christians.

Who profess to be good, righteous and holy but their very actions show otherwise. Someone cuts them off in traffic for example: Immediate road rage and vengeful thought takes over. The Christian world is full of bigots and hatred toward someone who does not meet their specific idea or life style. Hate the homosexual, the black person, the short person, the neighbor who has six kids and lives on government handouts.

They condemn and do their feel good missionary work once or twice a year, go to church and sit in their pew some weekly, others a couple times a year, give some offering and then go home and look at porn on the Internet or bash the president of the nation or hat the homeless, because they believe all homeless people are drunks or druggies on the take.

We don't want to be told that we cannot have something we lust after and desire and makes us feel good. We want to gratify our selfish desires. A God or creator or law giver means we have to accept we are not perfect and we need something to guide us and set boundaries and rules to follow. But who's rules, we as human beings cannot even decide who best to rule us let alone what rules to follow or what laws we should abide by. The 2008 election year is a prime example of how much hatred is spewed over the media, in ads and on the internet?

It does not matter what law or rule is imposed by man, there has always been someone else say. Uh huh! I ain't doing that!. I don't agree. I want that law, rule changed to suit me and my ideas and philosophies and ideals. Too bad if the Red's don't like it, We Greens want it changed we are NOT happy.

That being said. A law maker, creator, God, intelligent design makes sense and I personally know there is a God, I respect any and all you out there who disagrees right to choose not to believe this.
However let's say that there is on some OFF chance a God for those who choose to not believe in one. And your reasons for not believing are many I know.

Don't you think he/she would have somewhere along the way given us an instruction book or manual on how we humans should govern ourself and standards to live by? Oh wait! One was given it is called the Bible. And there comes a big huge problem because out of that book comes hundreds of religious orders, belief's cults and organizations. But for the sake of argument let's examine just a few biblical scriptures

Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are NOT your thoughts. Nor are my ways your ways, says the Lord. Vs 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth. So are my ways higher than your thoughts.

Gee what an thought. “God” for those who know him does not think like humans at all, nor are his ways our ways. Man has formed God in his own image rather than getting to know him. It is like a child who grows up without a dad. Never seen his dad, never saw a picture of his dad. So he invents in his or her own image what they think their dad would be like. This is how many people both those who believe in a God and higher power and those who don't believe in Him treat God. They form God in their own concept and image and make rules and regulations and laws to suit them.

Humanity does not follow God. Take Adam and Eve for those who accept the creation story. God said Don't! Guess what? Lust, greed, covertness all entered in and Eve was influenced and Adam was with her and they ate of the forbidden fruit and from there man knew good from evil for all time.

Remember our thoughts are not God's thoughts, or his ways our ways. Well I know there is a God and I know he has a plan for all humanity but he has also allowed man to choose to believe or not to believe to obey or not to obey. Will there be consequences? Yes assuredly there will be. We can choose to be moral or immoral. Good or bad.

Ultimately we all will die at least once. Hebrews 9:27 And it is appointed for men to die ONCE, but after this the judgment. Vs 10 So Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many (all humanity no matter what they choose to believe). To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time apart from sin for salvation.
God loves all humanity and he is willing to forgive 99.9% of all sin and pardon mankind if mankind is willing to repent and ask for this pardon and accept the gift of salvation God gave them through his son Jesus Christ who willingly laid his life down for humanity. It is a gift. Each person is offered this gift, you can choose to accept it and use it and embrace it with all the Yes strings attached to it. Or to reject it with all the strings attached by not accepting it.

2nd Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise as some count slackness. But is long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that ALL should come to repentance.

Even if you choose to not believe in a creator or God he loves you and will do everything in his power but in his time, place and way to get your attention.

Some are called now in this day and age and time. Some later. We are told to love one another, not judge one another, to LOVE and pray for our enemies, Vengeance is not ours but God's. If your fellow man chooses what you personally believe to be immoral, ungodly, unrighteous, who are you to JUDGE him or condemn him? It is not our place.

We may not agree, we can avoid as much as possible and choose not to associate with people we believe are choosing to sin and thumb their nose at God, or who plain choose to believe there is no God. It is their choice. What can you do if your a Christian believer of a God and Christ and Salvation?

PRAY. Prayer is effective and mighty and powerful. Pray! Don't judge, point the finger or condemn. You see no matter how much our fellow man chooses to debase or wallow in immoral behavior or chooses to thumb their nose at God. HE still LOVES them.

Christians want to condemn other faiths and religions and people or force them to accept their ideas and belief. And yes we are as Christians told to pray for other's, it is called intercessory prayer, pray for our enemies and those who spitefully abuse us.

Many "Christian's", don't however even follow their own bible but think they know what the bible says rather than KNOW what it says. Most Christian think Christ had long hair and was poor, and an only child all false concepts. If they read their bible they will learn this is not true.

He had brother's and sister's. Matt 13:53-56; He was born in Nazareth but did not wear his hair long by taking the Nazerite vow such as Sampson did. Christ's apostles said it was a SHAME for a man to wear LONG hair but it is a woman's crown and glory I Corinthians 11:14-15. Judas had to kiss him to identify who he was for the Sanhedrin to arrest him Luke 22:48.

He did not stand out in a crowd but looked like everyone else not under or overly dressed. Including his clothing, he was a business man and a carpenter by trade, he could leave that business in the hands of his younger brothers. His mother Mary did not remain a virgin she had other children. Christ e sat with dignitaries and high priests and was in the homes of the wealthy but had compassion on the poor, he was not homeless. He wore an expensive robe that was taken off him and gambled for at his crucifixion, not something a poor homeless man would own.

Some believe Christ came to bring peace however he said in Matthew 10:34 Do NOT think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did NOT come to bring peace, but a SWORD! Not only that but when he comes again he will still not be coming with peace right away. John 18:36 Jesus answered, My KINGDOM is not of this world, IF my kingdom were of this world, MY servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews, but now my Kingdom is not from here.

Revelations 19:11-21. If you read this you will see Christ is NOT bringing peace when he returns either but he is bringing restoration of what was originally intended at creation. In the end all will be judged according to how they chose to live their mortal lives. Revelation 7:9-17 Most will have salvation, but they will go through some horrendous suffering during the tribulation to come. Only some will go to perdition. they will refuse to repent even under the worst circumstances.

There will be a new heaven and new earth. Cleansed by fire. There will be a spiritual and a physical kingdom. And God the father will come to dwell with NOT spirit but with MEN! Revelations 21:3-8, and Isaiah 65, 2nd Peter 3:10-13. Revelations 22:1-3 Spiritual beings do not need healing but physical ones do. Some argue and say well flesh cannot survive the cleansing fire of the earth. Oops once again our thoughts not God's what about Shadrack, Mescheck and Abednigo who survived the fiery furnace that they were thrown into. Or the bush that Moses saw on fire or the fire that sat upon the congregation in Acts 2. Not once did the fire destroy or burn in these instances. Do you think he can manage to preserve humanity and still cleanse the earth with fire and the heavens and expand them?

Christian's think we are going to all go to heaven. Another false concept. When we die our soul goes to heaven and are placed in storage under the mercy seat of God. Revelations 5:8-10. We are redeemed but not yet given our final reward. Not until specific things transpire. Our dead bodies go to hell the grave to moulder and decay until Christ returns with his Kingdom. He is bringing his Kingdom with him to establish it here on the earth. Read Matthew 24. At the end of HIS millennial rule he is turning over the Kingdom to his FATHER Revelations 21:

My personal view is yes I believe in a God and a God father, I believe Jesus Christ is the son of God, I believe in a separate entity known as the Holy Spirit sent to us as the comforter and to help those who CHOOSE now to walk with God to help us do so, to be better people to teach and by example not brow beating and bullying the way God wants us to live.

God loves all people he doesn't want any to perish. II Peter 3:9 I personally believe 99.9% will not. That at some point in time before the end of the coming millennial rule of Christ the majority of humanity will choose righteousness and salvation. In God's time, not our own. So just because some right now say ha! there is no God or he is dead or he delays his coming doesn't make it so. God can at any time he choses show them otherwise. His way, his time and his place.
WE Christians are to love the sinner but not the sin ; accepting what we know or believe to be a sin and immoral and wrong.

But those we believe are sinning do not believe as we do. Example, there is a huge controversy of people who are homosexual, some say they are born this way. some say it is a choice. God knows. We are not to judge.

Do I personally believe homosexuality is immoral and sinful, yes I do. Do I hate these people? NO I do not. It is their choice, they alone have to answer to God for it as to if it is a sin and how and why and if or not he chooses to forgive or pardon them. I however can talk with and be around them and not condemn them. Accepting their choices. Being their friend and can love them for who and what they are and let God take care of the rest of it. It is not my call.

Christ walked among and sat and talked with, ate with sinners all the time. Do I hate the man or woman who for some reason chooses to deny the existence of a higher power a God or creator? No, I do not again, their choice. Do I trust God can take of it in his time, place and way as he chooses? Yes and he has proved his ability to do so in his word over and over and over again. He doesn't need us. We need him. God is quite able to call anyone he wants to salvation in his own time, way and place and I can trust that.

He was a light, love and example. In fact many who profess to be Christian Christ said; Why do you call me Lord, Lord and do not do the things which I say? Matthew 7:21-23. It takes more than works to be a true Christian. It is a way of life. I need only to look to my own walk and my own behavior and not condemn others. But in love pray for them out of love for my fellow man or woman.

If you want to know what God says, Read your Bible, after praying for him to show you the truth. Not your version pre-concieved ideas of it or what you have been told to think or believe but what it actually says. If you don't believe in God, then you don't need to worry about it. You will live life as you choose, enjoy it and not need worry about it.

Who am I to judge or condemn you or your beliefs? No one. There are many people here on this site alone who are good people, kind people, loving, giving people and some are not Christian or God fearing or God believing and guess what if your a Christian every single one of them, you and I included are, have been, were, and most likely will continue to be sinners.

Never Stop Learning Vbm

I am a controversy. Because controversy causes others to seek more knowledge. It is not that I do not believe in God, it is that each person has a unique and individual personal relationship with God. (or other identity you choose as your giver of life) It may not have seemed like it, but I am a very open minded person, willing to listen to both sides. I do have stubborn streaks when someone is trying to tell me that I should feel and believe the way they do. A by-product of my youth and teen years. :-) I too, hold no ill will towards you or any others who have stated their opinions. I enjoy others' opinions, it creates a spark in me that ignites a yearning for more knowledge. I have even picked up my Bible after 6 years and started reading it again. (Sssshhhh...don't tell anyone!) LOL I was turned off of the organized Christian faith because of HOW it was "taught", introduced, preached. I had friends who claimed to be "born again" and turned from very nice, loving people to very judgemental, pain in the butts to be around people. It is wonderful when one finds their path in whatever faith calls them, but they must remember that not everyone is on the same wavelength. Live this life Vbm the best you can and don't worry so much about sinning and the afterlife. We are only human, we make mistakes, the important thing is to learn from them, make corrections where needed and try not to make the same mistake again. Some of us are hard headed though and it could take a while. ;0 LOL MJ

Truly Words of Encouragement

What a lovely person you are Celanith!! I am a controversy. MJ

Thank you for your words of encouragement...

and I will be sure to read Galatians 5:22-23 tonite. May God Be With You Celanith.

We learn as we grow

Celanith None of us are perfect vbm2424; Mine has been a life long learning process and all to often I have found myself saying things that have done more harm than good and regretting it. Some things best left unsaid rather than cause hurt or anger in someone else. But we learn and we ask God to forgive us and the persons we hurt if they will. If they don't we know we are still at least trying and we need to leave the rest up to God in his time and way. I was baptized in 1971 at the age of 20 and will be 60 next summer. I am still learning, growing and finding new things and learning; Galatians 5:22-23 is my favorite chapter. Read and examine it and ask God to help you to incorporate into your life, your character those things you lack. It is a process and not at all always as you expect but you learn from it and God will give you those fruits from the Holy Spirit you lack and enhance the ones you have more.

Celanith

Hello everyone, stop and set awhile.

You're right MJ..I definitely could learn...

a thing or two from this article. I too believe as you do Celanith but, as you say alot more eloquently than I, I will always be a sinner. I was saved July 6, 2008, after living in unrepented sin since reaching the age accountability. When I attempted to point out that Jesus is the truth, the light, and the way, I was heavily attack from all angles. I immediately took offense and wrote some condemning comments I shouldn't have, and for that I apologize. As you can see, I am relatively new to this walk and continue to work on it everyday through pray and the reading of God's word. Maybe one day, with God's garce and mercy, I'll be able to understand more of the way I need to live in order to fully receive His blessings. No man will ever come close to the love of God, for sending His Son as our Redeemer. But I will confess this, there is a stark contrast in living the way I do now versus the way I lived before I was saved; and I can only praise God for the partial understanding of just how great His love really is. I know it didn't seem like it with some of my comments, but I truly hold no ill will for anyone. I just get a little defensive when people attack my faith in the Lord I love. People may not forgive me, but through my faith, He will.

Nicely put...

Very infomative and nicely worded. I truly enjoyed reading your views. Many "Christians" could learn a thing or two from your article as well. Thank you. I am a controversy. MJ
