Jumper

Thinking of going to see the new fantasy/adventure/action movie Jumper? The one of which critics are giving maybe 5, of 6 out of 10?...

Well, I don't agree, If anything, it's atleast a 7. However definately not a 10. But just like the Bourne movies, they're likely to get better as they go along. Especially with Jumper's ending, there is undoubtedly got to be a Jumper 2.

In all, the film is pretty good, not the best: no the worst. As much as I love Hayden Christensen (star wars dude), I hate to admit it but he didn't do his role as well as it could have been done. Honestly, the other 'british' Jumper is what gives the movie a realistic touch.

I definately recommend watching it.. but (there's always a but) it's not a film you can watch over and over again; as it's pretty predictable.

the storyline...

Dave is this ordinary 'chum' who upon getting a present that he got for his crush back; from the ice lake; after the bully through it. He falls through the ice (this much is shown in trailer - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0489099/trailers-screenplay-E36729-314)
He discovers his talent. However as the film progresses he meets his challengers and opposition; those of which, like him, were destined to be and do what they do, in this case, kill jumpers. It gets pretty obvious as Dave mentions his mum leaving when he was 5 similarly to the other jumper; having thought his first jump was at 8, he was proved wrong.
