Jury Duty Scam

posted June 2, 2009 - 6:30am
Jury Duty Scam

This Jury Duty Scam is a new way to steal your identity. The scammer calls you up and tries to convince you that you failed to report for jury duty. They will even tell you that a warrant has been issued for your arrest. The scammer will then ask for confidential information "for verification", like your social security number, etc. So far this has been reported in nine states.
