Jury Selection for Next OJ Simpson Trial to Begin

In Las Vegas this week courts and attorneys are preparing for the next OJ Simpson trial. Officials say that there will be a lengthly questionnaire to find a jury pool of up to 400 people. Simpson, Charles Ehrlich and Clarence “C.J.” Stewart face armed robbery, kidnapping, and weapons charges after their September theft of sports memorabilia from a Vegas hotel room.

Defense lawyers representing Simpson are concerned about finding a jury pool that isn't tainted by preconceptions about their client. After the extreme publicity linked to the OJ Simpson murder trial, where he was aquitted of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and friend Ron Goldman.

If convicted Simpson will face prison time. Kidnapping carries a possible life sentence while robbery will mean mandatory jail time.
