I recall watching the Lion King years ago. There was a scene where a grown up Simba was looking for anwers and his father appeared to him in the clouds, powerful, and like the king he was, even after death. Four words from that particular scene stuck out to me today as I spoke to a loved one. "Remember who you are..."

Christianity has a bad stigma attached to it. You know it, I know it, and to us who are a part of the faith, we REALLY know it! The people who call our religion that of "nothing but money grubbing hypocrites" lets me know that...I know it when a person is quick to dispise me when "Yes, I believe in Jesus Christ" comes out of my mouth, when they were "cool" with me moments before. I can understand a lot of their logic, mind you. There are a lot of people who carry around the title of a faith that aren't worthy enough to carry it. Yeah, I said it, because it's TRUE.

The money grubbing preachers who make you sow "seed offerings of your entire paycheck" in DRY GROUND that they aren't enriching with the true word, and fly out of service in their private jets and shut the gates to their million dollar mansions where you can't reach them if you have a need of your "shepherd"...the woman who looks down on you because your skirt isn't sweeping the floor, yet as soon as service is over, she's up in "MR. So-and-so's" house doing things she wouldn't even do with her own HUSBAND...I could go on about the hypocrisy and the need to let our lights shine as a testimony to what true Christianity is, but that is for another entry. To those that are feeling low, who are being scorned and ridiculed because of your belief in Jesus Christ, always remember this...

The God we serve is an AWESOME God! He's gracious, merciful, loving and a God of wrath and justice as well as of forgiveness! We are His children and He is our father! The whole universe is His and the fullness there of! He has NO BEGINNING OR END, He is ETERNAL! We are princes and princesses, sons and daughters of the MOST HIGH KING who is the MOST HIGH GOD! He IS the ONE true and LIVING (keyword, LIVING) GOD! No matter who tries to down you in this world, always, ALWAYS remember that. You may be scorned because you may not be rich in THIS life, but eternal life is the richest gift of all.

Keep your head held high, and love in your hearts. Love...LOVE. They should know who we are by our LOVE.
