Thrissur one of the district is known as cultural capital of the state. It has 39 rivers flowing through it. Munnar is one of the hill stations that provide a pleasent stay for tourists. Idukki district is the largest district in the state and there lies Periyar Tiger Reserve a thick forest which is under the programme of tiger protection. Idukki dam is the largest archdam in India.
