Kerri Walsh’s wedding ring was missing while Kerri was playing with her parter Misty May but luckily for her it was found by Chinese workers after it flew off during her opening match of the Olympics.

Chinese workers looked in the sand for hours for Kerri Walsh’s wedding ring with metal detectors in order to recuperate the precious piece of gold.

Kerri Walsh’s wedding ring came off when she and partner Misty May-Treanor went up for a block in Sunday morning’s match against Japan’s Mika Saiki and Chiaki Kusuhara.

17,000 tons of sand were brought into Chaoyang Park to create the beach volleyball venue. Kerri Walsh’s husband NCAA champion Casey Jennings must have bought a very lucky wedding ring.
