Surgery to remove bone fragments from his neck was successful and all are hopeful that he will breath on his own. He has a chance of being able to regain function in his arms and legs and may live out a near normal lifespan.

Chris Reeves is being talked about alot, however, it is possible that his injury will not leave him as severely impacted as Mr. Reeves. One cannot help but compare the two. Men struck down in their prime, playing a sport they loved.
