Kids Party Idea
posted October 17, 2007 - 2:51pmHere is a great idea for a kids birthday party. If your kids are a bit older, say in the 8 to 10 years old bracket, this can be fun. (You could do this with younger children, but there would have to be definite supervision!).
Once all the kids have arrived for the birthday party, start taking lots of pictures with your digital camera, all different face, poses, make sure to get everyone from the party. This can be done during the meet and greet when they first arrive.
Quickly transfer these pictures to your computer, leaving someone else in charge of the party temporarily, and try to fit as may pictures on to one page as possible, and then print on plain copy paper (not the photograph paper) in black and white, even make some copies of the copies..
Have the kids sit at a table and cut out all the different pictures, different people, objects, the presents, everything from the day. Then provide them with a rigid board, or the lightweight board from the back of a picture frame, and then they can create a coulage of all the pictures using decoupage glue or watered down white glue. The black and white gives it a special uniform effect.
When they are done, you can place this in a frame for your child. You could even have everyone at the party sign it. It will be a special memory of a great birthday party!
