Kirsten Haglund, Miss Michigan 2007 - Miss America 2008
posted January 27, 2008 - 5:23amKirsten Haglund, Miss Michigan 2007, has been crowned Miss America 2008. Miss Indiana Nicole Elizabeth Rash was crowned 1st Runners Up.
Kirsten, 19, is a music student. Coincidentally Kirsten's grandmother, Iora Hunt was Miss Michigan way back in 1944. Thats a long time for the crown to come back to the family! And Kirsten of course has done one better. She gets a $50,000 scholarship and a year of travel with the title win at Las vegas.
Kirsten Haglund aspired to be a Broadway Star. This win will perhaps pave the way for a starring role for her at Broadway, once her Miss America commitments are over!
