Kirsten Haglund Pictures

Kirsten Haglund is the new Miss America of 2008. She was Miss Michigan in 2007. In order to win the Miss America beauty pageant she had to be better than 52 other beauty queens. The crowning took place on Saturday night in the official Miss America pageant. This all took place in Planet Hollywood Las Vegas on the learning channel.
And of course like everything else these days, it was brought to you in HD. A lot of the votes came in online.
The contestants were each eliminated from 4 groups until one last young woman was standing on the stage, of course being Kirsten Haglund.
