Kobe Bryant Wins NBA Most Valuable Player Award

Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers has won the Most Valuable Player award for the first time in his 12-season career, the L.A. Times is reporting.

The article says that NBA commissioner David Stern will be in Los Angeles next week to present the trophy to Bryant.< p>

The MVP is chosen by NBA writers and broadcasters.
