I have a confession to make. It defies all traditional logic.
I'm not sure if it's some sort of conspiracy or if the aliens made it this way, but labor sure is easier on me than the pregnancy. This is my third time around. I have a five year old, yes thanks for your sympathy, and I had one miscarriage.

I noticed during my first, that labor was not only quicker than nine months of running to the bathroom, but the pain was also less. To understand that, you must realize the intensity may have been greater with labor, but taking the time factor ... Think of it this way, labor is over and done with for most women in 24 hours. My salute to the ones who suffered longer. A 40 week -give or take- pregnancy is riddled with all sorts of aches and pains that augment to your misery each day.

Where is my mother-to-be glow? Of course, I may be being a bit unfair. See, the only reflection I've been able to see thus far has been reflected in toilet water. Yes, it's been wonderful. I love the thought of that second bundle of joy, but the glow just gets lost between sickness and my hips falling apart.

Mothers- did you start to feel as if you've been pregnant forever after about two months? I'm just hoping that with all this modern technology, someone will figure out how to plug a Tivo in my back and fast forward ot the good part. Like seeing my kids off to college.

I'll be updating this post with various tips I have learned for all new mothers out there. I don't know if my postings will do much for your sanity, however, but you might get a much needed chuckle here and there.

Now, it's time for yet another potty break.
