Last Stand For Outgunned McCain

Last Stand For Outgunned McCain

With only seven days to go, it seems almost clear that Obama has won it already. He raised more than $603m while McCain scraped together just over $380m.

Obama's ads are everywhere and are accessable to the less-well off members of society - such as in between sports events on TV. I'm not maiking any kind of judgement call on people who watch sport on TV, just saying that if you can't afford to go to the event, you watch it on the box.

Yet maybe it's not so clear-cut as to who has the more obvious campaigning; - many people have still not registered and some that have registered are being denied due to computer errors in a new system. There's also the fact that McCain is a celebrated war hero and we all know how America loves them war heroes.

jdud, you're wrong again...

The definition of "insanity" is doing the exact same thing and expecting a different result. Voting for someone that has never done anything in government at all is insanity. Voting for someone who wants to destroy the American Dream is insanity, voting for someone with ties to homegrown and foreign terrorists is insane. Voting for a man that wants to rob mine and your 401K is insane. Voting the way you did, jdudududud, is insane!

Exactly. You cut it from a different comment.

I told you which comment of yours was the specific one to which I wrote my reply and you STILL referred to a different one. Read my comment above yours again, look at the title of YOUR comment I identified, and SEE if what you "cut" is from the comment I identified. Nope. It wasn't. jdud, you are plainly blind

I cut this from my comment: Nor are they saying anything about Obama's plan for making it mandatory for people that have corporate 401K's to contribute 5% into a government managed program that will return a 3% yield, and the people managing this program are the same people that have done such a wonderful job with our social security system funds. You plainly didn't read what I plainly said.

Is that what you want? What you really want?

The problem from a Universal standpoint is that you and people like you focus on what you DON'T want and you invariably get it. Therefore, you have no one to blame but yourself for your own bad fortune. I reject the excuse that we don't control our own lives and must live as if we are at the mercy of other people in every area. That's the crux of the problem. Do we focus on what we DO want and behave accordingly or do we continue to focus on what we DON'T want and behave accordingly? The definition of mental illness is doing the exact same thing and expecting a different result each time. Voting for McCain reinforces that. JOIN XOMBA IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO ADD!

jdud, the things I listed are our world today...

do you think just because Obama gets elected that any of things are going to change. It has nothing to do with religion, it has to do with being aware of what's going on around you; thinking through the ramifications of some of Obama's policies. Where are we, by the way? The dems are just as, if not more so, resonsible for where we are at this point in time. Do you think for a minute that you will be hated any less by anti-American forces, if Obama is elected? Our greatest national security threat is our economy. Obama says he can take from the rich and give to the poor who aren't paying taxes to begin with, give to the hungry in other countries when we have people starving right here, take money from every working citizen with a 401K and put it in some fund run by the same group that runs our social security program; which one of these does a single thing to strenghten our economy or our national security. Our enemy is terorism, it is a world wide threat. Our military must be funded in a manner, and be positioned to adjust according to that threat at anytime without delay. What you people think are corrections to our problems are actually going to further increase our problems.

Plainly, you plainly don't know what you plainly said plainly

If you scroll up to your comment entitled "like I said, you are blind", you will not see any mention of Social Security or 401K's. Since that is the comment on which I based my comment in reply, you are either thinking of another comment somewhere or your intent was to talk about that, but you didn't, which means that you are expecting me to read your mind to try and figure out what you meant and not what you said. Either way, plainly, you plainly don't know what you plainly said plainly. JOIN XOMBA IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO ADD!

Change is good, I agree, we can't ...

continue with things the way they are. But why do you people keep bring up stuff about a black president. The color of our president is of no concern. The fact that Obama's policies are going to make things worse, not better, is the problem.

Because I plainly said that the...

Obama's plan is to allow the same people that run social security to be in control of his proposed mandatory government regulated 401K robbery.

Wrong!

The only way for America to rise and recover from the disasters of the Republican years is to oust Republicans from office. It certainly is the only way you'll be redeemed in the eyes of the world. America needs this redemption (sorry to sound like mythman). Electing a black man president will send clear messages: equality is finding a place in America; America is backing equality; Americans aren't racist. Issues with tax are small fry compared to this but you seem to be saying McCain will bring about a better system - fairer to Joe Plumber et al. That is ridiculous. If McCain is returned as your president, America will stay on the same path and it will rightfully be sidelined by all principled people. The poor will be more neglected as Big Business (owners not workers) are given more. That's the best case scenario - the worst involves his untimely death and Palin Power.

Yeah, feel that Christian love

You live a life based on fear. You vote based on fear. Everything you just listed in that little comment box is the reason I rejected McCain: your fears allow you to be played like a violin by the conservative mainstream media and Rovian advisors to John McCain. You cannot project your fears and paranoia onto me because I've already rejected them. JOIN XOMBA IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO ADD!
