Last Stand For Outgunned McCain

Last Stand For Outgunned McCain

With only seven days to go, it seems almost clear that Obama has won it already. He raised more than $603m while McCain scraped together just over $380m.

Obama's ads are everywhere and are accessable to the less-well off members of society - such as in between sports events on TV. I'm not maiking any kind of judgement call on people who watch sport on TV, just saying that if you can't afford to go to the event, you watch it on the box.

Yet maybe it's not so clear-cut as to who has the more obvious campaigning; - many people have still not registered and some that have registered are being denied due to computer errors in a new system. There's also the fact that McCain is a celebrated war hero and we all know how America loves them war heroes.

There was nothing about that in the comment I read

I am following the comment thread and I reply specifically to a comment made. If your intent was about Social Security, how am I supposed to know that? JOIN XOMBA IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO ADD!

My point exactly...

nothing of substance to add. Say this with me...Lost Busisness, Lay-offs, Increased Welfare, Anarchy, Socialism, anti-American, Marxist, PLO, Bill Ayers, International Crisis, Middle East, Russia, AND ON AND ON AND ON........Sounds like the man I want leading my country. Go eat some grass with the rest of the cows.

The Repbulicans and Democrats locked out changes in 1996

That year, both parties got together and decided who would get the attention and who would be invited to the debates. If change is going to happen, it must come from without or by having an insider break with his party. JOIN XOMBA IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO ADD!

And furthermore ,,,,jdud,

my comment states that the Social Security System is a failure. But Obama wants to entrust them with peoples hard earned retirement pensions through mandatory 401K contributions to the very same people that run the SSS. You can't argue a point you haven't even read.

What Ever, vbm

Don't change for change's sake.

I can understand after Bush how you would want to change for change's sake, but nothing wrong for voting Independent. Getting back to the topic of the article, wouldn't it be nice to change the system and let Independents have a better shake. If all candidates were allowed Independents, Liberatarians, Democrats, Republicans alike say only could spend $1 million dollars legislated by law, we would all get better candidates. If you want to start an Independent campaign on the Internet for your Independent go for it. Maybe people will follow!

I also got some Instant Message spam from him..I sent it on to the Xomba staff. Will probably see more of this as Xomba grows. It's hard to keep them away. The staff has their work cut out for them! Click here to find out how you can get paid to post items like this. It's free and easy to join.

jdud, you are piece of....

work. Never, not once did I say anything negative about a black man being elected for anything. I don't have any problem with the color of Barak Obama's skin. Just like the media perpetrates it, you brought it up twice in this comment. And once again, you deflect anything that isn't perfect with your messiah and every point of policy I brought up in my comment. As I have told you on two occasions now, I am a registered Democrat. And by the way, this election is not over yet, the votes haven't been counted. The polls you look at are just as diluted and biased as your ability to stay on point with my comment. You are just a herding animal, roaming around in the pasture with the rest of the flock. No point to make, no substance to your views, nothing. I understand why mythman considers you to be one his disciples; you both have this uncanny ability avoid the reality and ramifications of the truth.

Thanks for the reply, WLP. Fox News spins to the right BTW

I understand that everybody has their own inherent biases and will, therefore, gravitate to those sources that mirror their own beliefs. What is different for me is that I am a lifelong Republican and have been registered thusly since age 18. Even in my civics class in high school, I took a test to see which party I most resemble and the only question that put my on the Democrat side was the fact that my stepdad was in a union. So, my answers and beliefs today come from someone steeped in the conservative tradition. For me to sit here today and say that I am voting for a Democrat for president is a big deal for me. After Dubya, I cannot bring myself to vote for another Republican for the White House. This goes double for the way the Republican Party treated one of its most passionate conservatives in Ron Paul. Once they made sure that he was excluded from any media mention (an indicator of who controls the media, when a true conservative cannot get any press), I fully ended my support for the Republican Party. (I would have voted for Ron Paul had he still be running or gone Independent.) I don't read news magazines or newspapers, particularly when they aren't worth the paper they're printed on. There was a time when I did read the paper growing up and even into early adulthood. Now, I can get all I need and more online. I can cross-check things quicker, too. The Old-Fashioned Way

I can't give you links Jdubhub, the article was in print. Everything I read is not on the web. I like the old-fashioned way. Anyway, I'm a pack rat, but I don't save all my articles, and recycle magazines! Anyway, just heard a report on Fox News about a study that supported my thinking of the media liberal bias, but didn't write it down. We all know we aren't going to change your mind, we are working on all the fence sitters that are reading this that haven't decided how to vote yet. I already voted for McCain by early ballot, if you haven't guessed that. You are only about 10 years younger then I am. Don't you still read paper news magazines? I used to work in a library with paper. What's the world coming to? I'm unemployed, and go to the library and read magazines for free! Don't have them all at my fingertips.
