The Shocker
Here are two shockers.
First - England have failed to qualify for the European football championship, co-hosted by Switzerland and Austria next June.
The English lost 3-2 to Croatia at home in their last match of the qualifying round. Russia, Sweden, Portugal and Turkey clinched the remaining places at the Euro 2008 finals.

The Draw was held on 02 Dec 07. Here are some reactions and stories just after the draw

Reaction of some Coaches of Teams

A World Cup or European Championships would not be the same without a ‘Group of Death’. Indeed the same blokes who decided the ridiculous seedings system for Euro 2008 will be rubbing their hands in glee after seeing a Group C line-up of Italy, France, Holland and Romania.

Dutch Juggernaut Continues....

So the Ducth march continues. I am very impressed with this side. The team does not rely on the genius of a single player - that in my opinion is their strong point. Look at what happened to France after Zidane is gone? Its out of the Euro Cup after losing 2-0 to Italy. I like Arjen Robben's game. He's a little like Maradona. This Dutch team has in it to go all the way. ..and Van Basten is a cool manager. Best Luck LadyKenai! DO the Write Thing & Get Paid Here
