Law of the Sea Treaty Puts UN in Charge of World's Oceans, Loss of U.S. Sovereignty
This article is about the terrible United Nations Law of the Sea Treaty, which the Bush Administration and the U.S. Senate under Senator Joe Biden are trying to sneak through and get ratified.
The treaty, which would result in a massive loss of U.S. sovereignty, would put the United Nations in charge of the world's oceans. The United Nations would also get the authority to impose global taxes.
"The treaty has already created the International Seabed Authority and given it total jurisdiction over all the oceans and everything in them, including "solid, liquid or gaseous mineral resources." The treaty even gives the Authority something U.N. bureaucrats have lusted after for years: the authority to impose international taxes (disguised by euphemisms such as fees and royalties).
"The treaty would subject our governmental, military and business operations to mandatory dispute resolution by the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea in Hamburg, Germany. If you think activist judges in the United States are out of control, wait until you try your case before this U.N. tribunal, whose decisions cannot be appealed."

In the big picture...
It's all part of a greater plan by the power elites to create a global plantation where we common people do all the work and pay all the taxes and the elites tell us what to do and how to do it.
Former Chief Justice John Marshall once said, "The power to tax is the power to destroy." At the time, he was referring to the US government's power to tax, if unregulated, could be used to destroy individual citizens. Applied to the UN's behavior, the UN wants to be able to control the world and the power to tax on a global level is one means to that end.
Since more than 70% of the earth's surface is water and, therefore, not under direct control of any single nation and its pesky sovereign claims, controlling access to that much territory is worthwhile to their end goal. Almost all trade between nations is done over the world's oceans, so applying Marshall's quote means that any non-compliant nation can effectively be cut-off from the outside world and have its economy destroyed.

Our U.S. Soveignty is Under Attack Like Never Before
It's true that global elites are attacking the sovereignty of the United States as well as every other country like never before.
The push for a one-world government is really increasing in strength and I don't think many Americans even realize the danger or how close we are to a global dictatorship.
Socialism and even communism seem to be growing in the United States all the time.
None dare call it treason...
The quote I use as my signature comes from a book called None Dare Call It Treason by John A. Stormer. The book, which came out back in 1964, detailed the communists infiltration of all levels of our government in Washington. It is a definite historical snapshot into the poltics of the time for those of us born later.
The reason I thought about this book is that the communists are not just coming out of the closet today--they were here long ago and never really left. What we see going on in way of world politics was put into motion long ago.
