Learing Spanish with a Native American

My Experience of Learning Spanish With a Native American

Today I met a native American girl who is also pursuing her Ph. D at Stony Brook University on my way to the campus. She is very interested in languages and majoring linguistics.

She told me that she can several languages, among them, they are English, Spanish, French, German and Italian. At that time, I was so curious about how many languages she has learnt now, and discussed a lot Spanish with her. I asked her to let me know how to say 'hello', 'good morning', 'Thanksgiving', 'Merry Chrismas' and other words and sentences in Spanish.
Firstly I noticed that the Spanish was very melodious when she spelt them out, however, when we were talking 'Thanksgiving' and 'Merry Chrismas', she made long, long pronunciation which greatly confused myself.

I followed her and made several pronunciation like her, but the more I learn, the more harderi realized that it hard for me to digest them.

It's not easy for me to learn Spanish well in a very short time, however, I'd like to share my pronunciation with her.
