Legal Or Illegal Clicks

Legal Or Illegal Clicks

I am new on this site and have been reading posts made by others to learn more about how things work. Sometimes I click on ads on those pages. (not my own)

I came upon this post about clicking on each other's posts and was really surprised by the comment made in answer to the post which seems to say that we are not allowed to click on ads on this site at all.

Of course we can not click on ads on our own bytes and blurbs.

And clicking just to be clicking is abuse and is wrong.

However, I dont see why I should not click on an ad on this site as long as it is not on one of my pages when I see one that I am interested in learning more about.

There are frequently some very interesting ads being served on these pages and I dont think that Adsense intends that we never again click on a Google ad once we sign up as a publisher and receive publisher code.

When I became a publisher, I did not stop being a consumer.

Sometimes I sign up for things or purchase things, sometimes not, just as I would if I clicked that ad on someone else's site. That is not cheating.

In my opinion, clicking on ads is an area in which we need to use judgment and click on the ads that interest us and that we would click on if we were on another site, excepting of course, those ads served on our own posts.

Thanks Stranger

The basic rules are this. Never click ads on your page. Never TELL anyone to click your ads. You can click ads that you legitmately wish to view.

Well I have to say I'm new

Well I have to say I'm new around here but as far as common sense oes, I guess the advertiser would like you to click on the ad if u are really intrested and not just for the sake of clicking so I guess clicking on an ad in which u are intrested in is justified, however u can ask the admin, Nick, hes a great guy and is really helpful. Hope that helps.. AZA
