Awhile back I took a class that talked a lot about poets, and learned a great deal about them, but sometimes you just want to know a little bit about them. I have decided to write five random facts about ten fairly famous poets. Some are well know, but others are much less know. I hope that you fine it interesting.

A. Thomas Hardy
1. Born in 1840 and died in 1928
2. Wrote in the late Victorian Period and it
was most about man vs. Supernatural
3. A legend about him was that a dog ate his

B. Robert Browning

D. Wystan Hugh Auden
1. He was born in York, England.
2. He went to the University of Oxford.
3. He came to America as the start of World War II.
4. He was a professor of the University of Michigan.
5. He owned two homes.
E. Will Yeats
1. He helped a friend, Lady Gregory, to maintain the Nationalistic orientation and high standards of Dublin’s Landmark Abbey Theater.
2. He served as a senator of the Irish Free State.
3. He awarded the Nobel Prize for literature.
4. He produced a book that laid the work for the poem A Vision.

F. Lord George Byron

G. Will Wordsworth
1. He was heavily influenced by Sam Coleridge.
2. He started to lose his touch after his brother died.
3. He was shown the bad life from Cap. Michel Beaupuy.

H. T.S. Eliot
1. He received a Nobel Prize before he died.

I. Dylan Marlis Thomas
1. He left school in 1931 and worked for the South Wales Daily.
2. He was born in Swansea.
3. He is thought as a welsh poet.
4. He married Caitlin Macnanara on a trip to Cornwall.
5. He was an actor at one time.
J. John Keats
1. He loved Fanny Brawne.
2. After his brother died, his poems improved a lot.
