Let's see how this plays here in liberal land...

I am a heterosexual male and was raised by parents that obviously were heterosexual. I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would feel that homosexuality should be acceptable in any society. First and foremost, homosexuality is an abomination. God created man and gave him a woman. The reason God created us this way is so that we can procreate. The notion that same sex couples should be afforded the same benefits as traditional couples are afforded upon marriage is ridiculous. The reason I feel this way, and refuse to be swayed on my position, is elementary. When God created Adam and gave him Eve, he commanded them to be fruitful and multiply. If it were intended for man to be with man, then God would have given Steve to Adam, instead of Eve, and they would still be living as the only two people on earth. Let me put it another way. If you took all of the gay men and put the on an isolated island and put all of the gay women on a different isolated island, according to their ages, in a matter of years the population of both of those islands would be zero. If not for heterosexual procreators, people claiming to be homosexual wouldn’t even be here. The sexual acts that homosexuals engage in are perverse and unnatural and, thank God, still illegal in the state I live in. God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of the moral decay and sexual perversion that was taking place there. It would totally be against the will of God if the United States Government, and it wouldn't shock me at all if it did, fully recognized same sex marriage and rules that same sex couples should reap the same benefits as traditional couple capable procreation. This entire subject is another example of how much of the world has turned from God. The price to be paid for turning from God is the ultimate price. Destruction.

If you really want to be taken seriously, you'll have to do better than this: If you took all of the gay men and put the on an isolated island and put all of the gay women on a different isolated island, according to their ages, in a matter of years the population of both of those islands would be zero. If not for heterosexual procreators, people claiming to be homosexual wouldn’t even be here. That has to be the worst logic of all time. I bet if I took all the hetero men and women the same thing would happen. How are they going to have sex when they are on different islands? Maybe God will give them some virgin births? And what difference does it make how old they are?

God's word was translated, yes. However, the Bible has been accepted as the direct word of God for a very, very long time. There is no other text that is said to be the word of God. The people that change the word of to fit their needs or their lives do so because they don't want to think they have to be held accountable on the judgement day. Again, I am no ones judge, people will live the way they want to. I am a sinner myself. I have sinful thoughts just about everyday. But I have repented of my sin, past, present and future; and I don't mind being held accountable for my life's work. That is the wonderful promise of Gods redeemer, Jesus. However, since accepting Jesus as my Lord and Savior, it is my duty to Him to stand behind His word until my day of judgement. That doesn't mean anyone eles has to. That is why he gave man and satan dominion of the earth. So, we can use our free will to choose God if we want to.

Your example that was given in the OP talked about the difference between straight people and gay people as the ability to further their lineage, which is silly IMO because that means that being straight is defined solely as the ability to breed. By that definition, otherwise straight men and women, who were sterile, could be considered homosexual because they are unable to procreate. DO YOU HAVE THE WRITE STUFF?

The Bible was not written in English, which means that words and their meanings get distorted by the political nature of the times. DO YOU HAVE THE WRITE STUFF?

Notice the word every, not some, but every, as in all men have their own wives and all wives have their own husbands. I think a husband is a man and a wife is a woman. The United States of America was founded on the belief that ALL men were and are created equal. While it took a long time to define "ALL", even the Constitution says that we are ALL endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights. It doesn't say that straights get to rule the world and gays are forever to be considered second-hand citizens. The very essence of American society can be summed up thusly: "If you don't like me telling you how to run your life, then don't tell me how to run mine." Your very argument, which is the same argument that the proponents of Proposition 8 here in California espouse, is that a segment of society has the right to tell another segment of society how to live, not because anyone is doing anything illegal, but because one segment's beliefs don't permit them to see beyond them. (The same argument was made against interracial dating and marriage or even for some darker races to share the same public facilities with white people.) By making a behavior "illegal" on man's law books, you hope to make anyone engaging in a behavior that involves only a person and another consenting adult a criminal and you are using the Leviathan as the enforcer of what most people don't even want on the books. Yet, in other instances, you and other Christians refer to the government as satanic or evil. You can't have it both ways. If God created anything and everything in His image, then He created homosexuals. If He did not create homosexuals, then He did not create anything and everything. DO YOU HAVE THE WRITE STUFF?
