Life After Death - Maybe It is Worse

Life After Death - Maybe It is Worse

I am not a very spiritual person but do think about it at times. A very strange thought came to me just now.

You know, when a man or a woman is totally frustrated and depressed beyond belief all he or she wants is a happy ending. At a slightly graver level they just want an ending. Somehow, just get it over with, maybe even go to the the extent of euthanasia or at a younger age even contemplate suicide. The sole idea is that it will all be over. One will be relieved of all the misery and pain. Many people even go to these lengths as we have read about.

My question or rather doubt is, what if death was just the beginning of your life. I mean maybe this was just a larval phase, what we are living through right now. The actual life starts after your death. Maybe you are just delivered at the time of your death. And then, you have to start living. Worse, with the knowledge of what you have done during the phase of your life on earth. And maybe you even get mystical powers like you can observe and hear and see every thing happening on earth including the thoughts of your friends and near and dear ones.

Life, as it will be, in such circumstances will be tough and much more depressing. Imagine getting to know that your closest friends were just bearing with you and were in fact relieved that you had left them alone. Imagine the child that you nurtured with so much love and affection actually blaming his childhood days with you for all his travails, failure and misery. Imagine your spouse meeting up with someone else the very next day that you were gone, like they had waited their entire lifetime for just this.

I think life as we know it is much better. And just for the sake of erring on the side of caution, let us try to be good human beings, really care for people, give everyone a chance and most of all be liked by others be it friends or family.

Wish you a very very happy new year and hope you can be what you want to be.
