"Do I know you?" Jennie asked Josie.  She was terrified but was trying show that she was confused.

"I'm sorry but you look so familiar." said Josie who was starting to look confused herself.

"Are you from Flo...Florence? quot; Nice one stupid!  There is no ways she is going to believe you are from Italy but there was no way I was telling her I live in Florida.

'Italy? Uh, no! Never even been there."

"Oh, well, I've been...uh...working there for the last few years.  So, unless we met in Florence, I don't know you."

"Well, Ok, I guess.  I still think you look familiar."

"Well, they say everyone has a twin."

"Yeah, that must be it.  Gotta go, see yas."

With that Josie turned on her heel and headed for the perfume section.

Oh shit Connor is not gonna be happy.  CCCCCrrrrrraaaaaaappppppppp!

Jennie practically sprinted back to the room were she told Connor about her encounter with Josie.

"God Damnit!  See that is the exact reason I did not want you to go out."  Connor's face is getting redder by the second and Jennie is not only fearing for her safety but also his. "I can't believe that I lost my family because of dumbasses like you.  Why the hell don't you listen?  I tell you why, because you are a stupid whore.  Michael knew you were a whore and your husband knows you are whore and that's probably why he split.  My life is complete shit because of stupid whores like yourself.  I cannot believe how God damn stupid you are.  Do you realize how stupid you are? Huh?"

"You need to shut the hell up before I punch you in the mouth."  Five years ago Connor's comments might have made her cry but not now, not after all that she had been though.  There was no way she was going to be intimated by some fed flunkie.

"WHAT?!"

Oh crap! Jennie realized that Connor was beyond mad and it was probably not a good idea to threaten him - maybe she was a dumb bitch.

Connor jumped at Jennie and grabbed her by the back of her hair and threw her to the floor.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY?  YOU STUPID BITCH!"

Jennie jumped up and lunged at Connor.  She knew she was probably about to get her ass kicked but there was no way she was going to back down to this asshole.  She caught him a bit off guard, hitting him with her shoulder in his gut.  Connor hit the ground and looked at her with nothing but fury in his eyes.  She went to jump on top of him but was stopped in mid-flight by his right foot to her face.  She slammed into the dresser.  She knew she was hurt but there was no way she was going to stop.  She got to her feet just as he leg-sweeped her.  The back of her head hit the dresser on the way down.  She saw stars but wasn't knocked out.  He got in back of her, put his arm around her neck and squeezed.  All of a sudden Jennie realized that Connor wasn't just trying to beat the crap out of her, he was trying to kill her.

"I'M SICK OF BABYSITTING DUMBASS WHORES LIKE YOU.  DO YOU HEAR ME? I'M TIRED OF IT!  I SHOULD BE WITH MY FAMILY!  MY FAMILY WHO I LOST BECAUSE STUPID STUPID PEOPLE LIKE YOU!  I'M TIRED OF IT!  DO YOU HEAR ME? TIRED OF IT!

Jennie knew this was it; she was going to die right there in that hotel.  Her killer was going to be the man that was supposed to be keeping her safe.  Her vision was narrowing; she knew she only had a few seconds left.  She did the only move that she could do.  She reached behind her, grabbed his sack and pulled as hard as she could.  He immediately let go.  She fell forward gasping for breath, waiting for him to grab her again.  But he didn't.  She turned her head to find him, hopefully in shock from the loss of blood from his sack.  What she saw made her piss her pants.  Connor had taken out his gun and had it pointed directly at her head.  She closed her eyes awaiting the bullet.
