Life's A Beach.

Life's A Beach.

Pulling into the garage, I realize it’s good to finally be home.  I walk through the door and look at my living room.  It’s been a long time since I’ve seen this room, but it feels like I never left. nbsp; I step onto the bamboo floor, enjoying every step I take on the rounded stalks, and walk to the center of the room.  I step down onto the glass floor and tap it, I’ve got to make sure Elmo is doing well.  The 33-foot anaconda hisses at the disturbance, slithering away into its cave, which is no longer much of a hiding place for such a large snake, but it serves its purpose.  I step back onto the bamboo floor and head towards my hammock, one of two made of the vines from the banana tree they are suspended from which grows out of Elmo’s enclosure.  Such a beautiful tree, measuring nine feet tall, it’s tall enough to provide some shade from any light coming in from the dome ceiling.  I sit down, lean back, and pick up the remote off the red leaves that make up the surface of the table.   Click one, the giant green leaves which serve as the wallpaper open up to allow the sun to shine through as it is going down across the sea.  Click two, the leaves on another wall open up to reveal the components to a my home stereo, the music plays through speakers hidden throughout the walls and ceiling all over the room.  I didn't even choose this track, but like in Mother Russia, the music begins to play me.  Time to relax and chill out, I reach back towards the table and open a hidden drawer from under one of the hanging leaves.  Pulling out my toolkit, I realize how perfect this room is for what I’m about to do.  Twist, lick, spark, and relax.  I have become one with the greenery.  The leaves become alive with movement, the bamboo slithers under my feet, the waves outside call to me.  I lie lazily and watch the sunset, as if I was watching television.  I reach to the ground and lift a panel door out from the floors, a sea of rats stumble into Elmo's front yard and I watch today's massacre.  It’s dark now and I need to turn on the lights, so I pick up the remote again.  Another click and four of the leaves on the wall start to glow with light, and another four dimmers glow from the ceiling towards the tree.  I live in the definition of chill.
