After months of tabloid cover stories, today Lindsey Lohan checked herself into rehab stating that see was concerned for her health.

It seems that more and more often celebrities are checking themselves into "rehab" after publicly misbehaving. Look at Mel Gibson. He gets drunk, says some bad things about Jews and the next thing you know, he's in rehab. The only real people that I've ever seen go to rehab were addicted to heavy drugs. These celebrities are drug addicts, they're just trying to lay low for awhile until the press cools off on them. I bet "rehab" is by the pool with the butler fetching you drinks, not in a hospital bed with the nurse emptying your bed pan. But it works, people forgive them and the next thing you know they're making a guest appearance on 7th Heaven. Our society is far too forgiving of people who's lives are handed to them on a silver platter.
