Lions are Lovers

Lions are Lovers

This video tells a touching story of two men who raised a lion cub in the basement of a furniture shop in 1969. (They bought it from Herrod' department store. Apparently, stores carried a wider selection of things back in those days?) The two loved the cub dearly, yet eventually released it back into the wild as it became far too large to take care of (as big cats tend to do very quickly). They took the lion to a Nature reserve in Nairobi, Kenya, and reintegrated the cat into the wild. The two always kept tabs on the lion, yet only visited it years later. The lion remembered the two and were very happy to see them:

This story was discussed on Snopes, and is true.
