Liquor Strega chocolate candies

 

Benevento is  a charming city between Naples and Rome. It was founded before the Roman era. Because of its long history, the legend says Benevento is a city where the witches had international conventions. In this city, in 1860 a liquor of delicate and sweet taste was invented. Its producer named it Liquore Strega “The witch liquor” in honor of the legend that surrounded Benevento. The distinctive yellow label depicting a witch and the long neck bottle is typical  feature of this product. Because liquore Strega is very sweet sometime is used to prepare desserts.

 Ingredients
250 gr minced almonds
250 gr tea cookies
125 gr cream cheese frosting, Italian liquor Strega, baking dark  chocolate

Preparation

Combine minced almonds and minced tea cookies. Add frosting cream cheese and a bit of liquor mix well to obtain a dough consistency roll into small ball.
Melt baking dark chocolate in a double saucepan. Deepen the small ball of in the chocolate. Leave on baking sheet and fridge to harden.
