Listen to music for free at Musicovery.com. This site is very cool--you pick what genre and subgenre of music you want to hear and it picks out some songs for you to hear from that related spectrum or "matrix"(as the site refers to it).

There is a lot of good music at Musicovery, and it has a great design as well. The beauty of this site is it is a totally interactive experience. I can't really explain exactly what it entails. You should check it out for yourself.

It's a good timekiller. And you can find some good new music.
