Shiloh Pepin was born with both her legs fused together in a syndrome known as mermaid syndrome or sirenomelia. The little girl defied all odds and lived to the age of 10 despite medical doctors predicting she would only live for a few days.

Unfortunately Shiloh Pepin fell ill with pneumonia and despite the prescription of medication and a ventilator the mermaid girl could not pull through and died as a result.
