It looks like a nice crust?

You might say this is a restaurant review or maybe just a bad meal experience, which I know most people have their own stories. I’ve had my share of disgusting meals in restaurants all over this country and really it’s probably
easier to remember the good ones because there are less of them.
I’d like to talk about one particular experience at a new local diner, the place was clean, the waitress friendly and the service fair. The food was, well let’s just say I never saw anything like it. I ordered a cheese and tomato omelet, it wasn’t on the menu but the waitress assured me they could make it. My parents both ordered pancakes and bacon. Now I must set the scene, there was one other table with customers, that’s it. The first clue to a bad experience was when we gave our drink orders; I ordered a chocolate milk and coffee and my parents ordered coffee. They were out of chocolate milk and when she brought our coffees she gave each of us half of a cup, because she needed to make more. When our food arrived we were presented with, for me, a brown omelet with tomatoes the size of those you would use for a salad. I looked over at my mom with a disgusted look on my face and she responded with, “That looks like a nice crust” and I said, “It’s supposed to be eggs, it’s an omelet”
I must say they didn’t fare much better, they’re pancakes were made from one giant pancake and sliced into four. I don’t know about anyone else but that was the first time I had ever seen someone cook pancakes that way. The edges on two sides were normal and two sides were really thick, where the cook had cut them apart and of course, they were tasteless.
Well, we ate our breakfasts and vowed never to return to that diner. I don’t want to ruin anyone’s chances of experiencing that diner, so I won’t tell where it is; maybe I’ll get to read someone else’s story about brown eggs and sliced pancakes. Good day!
