Loosing Belly Fat & Getting Super Six Pack Abs - Explained
posted October 9, 2009 - 6:29amSounds simple? Well, actually it is. Although (depending on your current shape) getting a six pack is pretty simple if you follow these basic rules, you need to understand that some consistent, hard training will be required.
First of all, you need to make some simple changes to your
lifestyle in order to be as healthy as possible. Replace juices and pop with water. Water is a magical liquid that contains no calories, it speeds up your metabolism so more fat is burnt during the day and it re-hydrates your body. Also, cut down on your alcohol intake. If you are a moderate to heavy drinker it will be almost impossible to get a flat stomach as it massively increases your calorie intake and with a too high calorie intake you will develop a beer belly.
Your diet also needs to be good. Fat, salt and sugars need to be low and protein needs to be high. Chicken breast, boiled potatoes, egg whites and oatmeal great foods both low in fat and high in protein. Just simply eat as healthy as possible and experiment with what best works for you, and stick with it.
Everybody has abs, but they are hidden by your belly fat. This obviously needs stripping off in order to show all of your hard work doing sit-ups. Running is always good for burning calories. It’s a great way to loose body fat and even better than jogging is an intense sprint training regime. Look at Olympic sprinters compared to long distance runners, the results are evident. The harder you work your body, the quicker you will see the results but be careful because if you cause injury to yourself you could undo all your hard work with a lengthy lay-off.
One of the best ways to loose body fat that most people do not consider, is weight training. There is no time to mess about with light weights, go for the heavies! Doing an intense weight training session on major muscles like your chest, arms, back or thighs burns up masses of calories when you are asleep as your muscles are recovering and repairing themselves. To be fair, a big, ripped chest gives the impression of a flat stomach anyway!
Finally, good abdominal exercises are required. This is essential to get that ripped up look we all want. Look out for Part 2 to this byte; it will go through the best abdominal exercises around.
