Lords Game

There are many types of games people play. Many may be played by yourself, and many others with others. In the age of computers, people have taken this to a whole new meaning. You have people spending hours and hours playing games such as World of Warcraft and Counterstrike Source. Now imagine. What if you could get the same social interaction out of a game, but not have to waste hours and hours of you time?
Lords is a browser based, medieval themed MMOG, created for people who have little time to play games. If fact, you can successfully play the game with as little as 15 minutes of your time per day. Everyone has 15 minutes to spare. You may think a game that takes so little time is boring. Not so with Lords. This game is very fast paced.
The main currency in the game is Gold. Basically, the point of the game is you attack another "Lord" and steal their gold. You do this by training an army, based on a population that grows every day. You can train several different types of warriors, train them, and educate your general. You can also build battering rams for increased attack, and walls for increased defense.
There are several town buildings you may build, including a palace which lets you train extra Knights (the strongest unit in the game). Other buildings include Universities and Libraries (Libraries make University cheaper to build). Universities allow you to research technologies. Technologies may do many different things, from increasing your tax rate to multiplying your attack power!
There is a huge amount of social interaction in Lords.
Not only is there a public message board (the "Inn") and active forums, but you may also band together with other Lords to form powerful Factions. (In turn, factions may band together to form Kingdoms, which can war with each other). Benefits of Factions are:
-Social interaction through private messages and Faction message box
-Opportunity to send and receive gifts from others
-Larger chance of getting good Trade partners
-Players are more likely to select you as their sovereign.
Another problem with mainstream MMOGs is that new players are annoying, useless and made fun of.
Not so in Lords. New players are very valuable. They can add increased strength to your faction. They can choose you as their sovereign, which gives you a bonus every day. There is not even the chance of a veteran player destroying a new player's economy. If you attack a much weaker player than yourself, then you receive less gold and less glory for that battle. And because you only have a limited number of turns in which to attack (you get one turn per hour, which saves up until you use them), it is a good idea to make each attack count!
You may also do a few more things to increase your power. You can declare one law every day, and send gifts to other players of the game.
All in all, Lords is a very good game, perfect for a player with little time, and great for a player who can dedicate a few hours a day to it.
The Creator of Lords has created a few different servers and passed out "Lords Games" to a few lucky individuals to administrate. An example is: worldoflords.com/conquest.
