Lose Weight At Home the Do It Yourself Way
posted October 31, 2009 - 4:13pmIf you don't want to join a diet program or a gym and are looking for ways to lose weight at home, then try this:
Remember all that housework that has been building up? You are going to now gather all your cleaning supplies, and you are going to put on some really good "get up and go" music and open some windows for fresh air, and now you are going to get in the groove.
Start with something like sweeping the floors to get warmed up, and dance at the same time, whatever it takes to get you moving!
Do not stop between chores, move right into the next one, if the rooms are upstairs, run up and down the stairs with your supplies to get a workout on the stairs. Make sure you really put muscle into your cleaning. This way you will burn calories, get a good resistance muscle workout and hopefully lose weight at home.
House work is a great way to move your body and get rid of some weight and tone up. You may want to make sure you are alone, and really let loose. Make sure your favorite fast beat music is blaring, and really put everything into it for at leat 1/2 hour, get your heart rate up.
Save chores like folding laundry and ironing for the cool down period, as there is really no way to get your heart going with those!
This is cheap and free, and you will lose weight at home, instead of spending the money on a gym or weight loss program. With some imagination you can really add some moves to your housework and have fun. The good part of all this, is you will end up with a clean house! Maybe you can talk your kids into this too! The music really helps, so don't forget to line up some great music and get fit the do it yourself way!
