Losing Weight Does Not Guarantee Good Health

More and more people are becoming more and more health conscious nowadays. It is a good sign because that ultimately adds to the overall health of a society or a nation. But some people are found to have an overconscious approach to maintaining the health which in some cases may lead to even more dangerous consequences than we could have if we are less health conscious.

One must understand the concept of calorie before deciding to sharply reduce the quantity of their diet because there is no single well-defined diet that will be suitable to all. An overweight person may have gained that state of body not because of overeating or excessive calorie. There are several examples where a person eats very less but is overweight because the main contribution comes from Genes. The family history might have contributed to his overweight in which case sharp fall in diet sometimes may prove dangerous even to the level of fatality.

Generally, young girls and middle-aged women are overconscious about maintaining good figure of body and instead of doing light exercise they prefer to decrease their daily diet sharply and when they realise that their decision was wrong it is generally too late. It is better to avoid junk food and too fatty food but I would not agree that reduction in diet quantity is a good alternative. Body needs thousands of various biochemicals for good health and fat is also equally important. Our food must have variety and enough nutrients. The best option is that the moment you feel that your gut has signalled to stop STOP immediately. It would be far better than the policy of weighed food quantity every time you eat.
