Is Love in the Air for Abmox?

Is Love in the Air for Abmox?

It is a beautiful summer day and Abmox is ready for a day at the beach. He even has his boom box. What could be better than listening to a little music, building sand castles, and taking a dip in the ocean to cool off from the harsh mid-day heat? I think Abmox wishes he had a friend to share some fun with. Summer activities are always more fun with friends, especially at the beach. Abmox refuses to miss enjoying this perfect day so he gathers everything he needs and heads to a nearby, popular beach.

Before too long, Abmox finds the ideal spot and becomes absorbed in building amazing sand castles.

Whew!! It’s getting mighty hot and Abmox has been working up a sweat. The occasional breeze coming off the ocean feels good but not enough to keep Abmox cool. It is time for a dip in the ocean. Inhaling the salt air, he wanders into the waves and melts into the wet coolness of the water.

Meanwhile, a beautiful young lady is wandering along the beach looking for the perfect location to lay on her beach towel and soak up some sun. As she walks alone, she is daydreaming about the marvels of summer. Although the beach is crowded with people, the rhythmic crash of the waves creates a sort of lonely feeling within her. She longs for the opportunity to find her soul mate and true love.

Deep in thought as she’s walking, she nearly collides with another being… Abmox, now walking back from his swim and focused on his sand castles, stops short… Their eyes meet and… and… is it love at first site?

There is certainly love in the air for Abmox and Moxie this summer. Only time will tell if fate has brought them together for all seasons of love.

Love Is In The Air?

I have investigated and I'm also sure that this version of Love Is In The Air is not sung by Cat Stevens. It is not in any of the lists of Cat Steven's songs that I've been able to find. The quality of the voice is similar but the enunciation is nothing like Cat Stevens. I think it sounds like John Paul Young who had his only hit with the song in 1978. It's not the version that became a hit though. It sounds like an outtake or something. And besides, hadn't Cat Stevens stopped recording by 1978? My dates may not be 100% but I'm sure Idlewild will set me straight. Regardless of who's singing the song, I enjoyed the story of Abmox meeting Moxie. I hope they get something going on. Prism, you should definitely turn this into a series. Cat Stevens

The music player is incorrect... that is definitely NOT Cat Stevens singing that song! It sounds exactly like the top 40 hit... somebody with 3 names I think... John Paul Young or something like that? I can't imagine Cat Stevens doing this song; he does very few cover tunes, and I can't see him choosing this one! The voice doesn't even sound like Cat Stevens. There seem to be a lot of mis-labeled songs online, even on Last.fm and Imeem. I bet a lot of artists are cringing at the thought of songs they have nothing to do with being associated with them!

+1 but slightly disturbing - then again...

The female Xombie isn't a looker like the male - in fact she looks very masculine - you don't think he'll have a shock do you - should it go anywhere? Whatever, I hope they stay friends... Love Is In The Air

I had never heard Cat Steven's version of Love Is In The Air either. It's pretty good but I prefer some of his other tunes like Peace Train. I also don't remember Cher doing that one. I thought I had heard all of her stuff. Tyla Mac http://www.xomba.com/referral/777b5ae7">Get Paid To Write For Xomba Become A Squidoo Lensmaster

Abmox and Moxie

I would love to see if Abmox and Moxie's love continues to grow through the seasons. Will it last beyond the summer romance phase? Will we be hearing the pitter-patter of little purple feet before too long? Inquiring Xombies will want to know. Very Creative!

Great contest entry! I love the Moxie idea. Abmox now has a companion!! Very cute.

Thank you, Idlewild!

I feel so much better knowing you read it as "Abmox" even though it was written as "Admox" for as long as you've been acquainted with Abmox. I thought Cat Stevens was odd for the song too but it was the closest available on playlist.com. Hey, there was a version by Cher. I don't even remember her doing that song. I was running out of time so grabbed the one that sounds most like the original but I might have to revisit my playlist later. Creating/sharing playlists is fairly new to me but I think I recall reading that you can actually use any link to a song from any music sharing site, not just those that come up in the playlist.com search. Thanks for the compliments and comments. Glad you like Moxie and we will have to see where this summer romance leads for Abmox. ;) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Earn for Your Writing on Xomba Earn for Your Writing on Bukisa Check Out My Writing on Bukisa

Abmox - Admox

OH MY GAWD!!! How does the mind do things like that???!!! - does something wrong and then sees the correct version, not the error when looking at it? That was not an intentional play on Abmox's name. Yikes! I still can't believe I repeated it so many times and still read it as "Abmox" while writing and proofing!! All I can say is this is what I get for staying up all night after a thunderstorm and 3 hour power outage to get the article done before leaving on a two week trip Monday morn! Of course I had to fix it because it is the proper thing to do. Imagine how Abmox must feel right now. The error will be forever embedded in the article link name though. Geez. Well, on to more packing for our trip. Thanks for the compliments and comments, rawnak!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Earn for Your Writing on Xomba Earn for Your Writing on Bukisa Check Out My Writing on Bukisa

A[d][b]mox

I hadn't noticed that spelling oddity (that's what I get for reading stuff before I've had caffeine in the morning). But yes, it *is* a "d" in this article... interesting.
